Trip-Hop from the Radio Caprice network focuses on the darker and slower side of electronic music. The station streams English-language trip-hop tracks shaped by heavy beats, deep basslines, jazz samples and atmospheric vocals. In the playlist - Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky, DJ Shadow, UNKLE and related artists who blurred the line between hip-hop, dub, ambient and alternative electronica. The format grew out of the Bristol scene in the early 1990s and quickly became one of the defining sounds of the decade. Trip-hop combined experimental hip-hop rhythms with soul, rock, acid jazz and cinematic textures, often keeping a moody and introspective tone.
