Station information
Radio Caprice Trance is a channel from the Radio Caprice network, dedicated to trance music in all its major forms. Broadcasting in English, the station delivers continuous electronic dance sound with an emphasis on melody, atmosphere, and hypnotic flow, curated for both club energy and immersive listening. Trance emerged in the late 1980s and rose to prominence in Europe during the 1990s, shaped by Detroit techno, electronic disco, and psychedelic music of the 1970s. Its signature traits include repetitive melodic phrases, arpeggios, minor scales, layered harmonies, and steady four-on-the-floor rhythms, typically ranging from 120 to 160 BPM. Today the style functions as an umbrella for many subgenres such as goa trance, progressive trance, uplifting trance, psytrance, eurotrance, and psybient, reflecting both its musical diversity and its role as a global electronic music subculture.
