Mazzy Star is a psychedelic blend of dream pop, folk, and blues. Hope Sandoval's gentle voice and David Roback's guitar and music gave the project a trance-like depth after the two met in late-1980s Los Angeles, where Roback was active in the Paisley Underground indie scene.
