Station information
On air from the Radio Caprice network, Dungeon Synth streams atmospheric lo-fi music built on vintage synthesizers, dark ambient textures and slow medieval melodies. The station focuses on English-language dungeon synth - a sound tied to fantasy worlds, old RPG soundtracks and the cold underground aesthetics of the 1990s. The genre emerged around the Norwegian black metal scene, where artists like Mortiis and Burzum shaped its early sound. Dungeon synth grew from minimalist intros, darkwave influences and a fascination with mythology, nature and Tolkien-inspired fantasy. Unlike black metal, this music leans toward atmosphere and introspection, keeping the raw lo-fi spirit while creating immersive, cinematic soundscapes.
