Breakbeat is a themed online station from the Russian network Radio Caprice, entirely on broken rhythm culture. In the playlist - classic breakbeat cuts, big beat, early hardcore, nu skool breaks and related bass driven styles built on syncopated drums and sampled funk breaks. The sound grows from the ideas of Kool Herc and the famous Amen break, later reshaped in the UK rave era and 90s big beat wave with artists like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers.
